May 22.  Welcome, to this week's newsletter.  Thanks to everyone who has been contributing to the lively Blog discussions
in our posts on "Retiring in Mexico", "Why Len and Ann Love the Villages",  and "Worst States for Retirement" - among others.
The mountains call to some people like beaches sing to others. Today's article discusses some of the advantages and disadvantages of retiring to a town in the mountains. Plus we've come up with a list of 10 great mountain towns (or at least ones in the hills) . We would like to hear your thoughts too.
It was known originally as a place to take the cure for tuberculosis, based on its clean air and location in the Adirondack park. Lake Placid and its wonderful mountain recreation is nearby. Everyone enjoys the great collection of Victorian houses in town.

In days gone by Fort Collins was known for its lambs and sugar beets. Today's attractions are more its recreational opportunities, such as exploring the nearby Rocky Mountains. The city has 60 miles of hiking and biking trails, and most major roads have bicycle lanes.
